Spread the love

There’s something about a farm session that just hits different — the slower pace, the wide-open skies, the way animals somehow become part of the story without even trying. Sarah’s family session was the most beautiful mix of all of that. From hand-built gardens to curious cows to a little boy and his favourite goats, every moment felt like stepping into their world for an afternoon.

We started tucked into the garden — the one her husband landscaped entirely by hand, every stone and bloom placed with so much care. It was the perfect soft beginning, surrounded by colour and sunlight, watching Sarah and her boys snuggle in between the flowers. You can feel the love in that space.

Then we wandered over to the goat barn, where Wyatt was basically in his element living his best farm-kid life. The way he cared for his little goat besties genuinely melted me. Those moments of him helping, feeding, showing us around… it’s the kind of childhood magic I live to document.

Afterward, we headed into the pasture — and oh my goodness, my heart could barely handle it. The cows FULLY came over to hang out with us. Like, actually walked up and formed a little audience. And if you know me, YOU KNOW I am shamelessly obsessed with cows. They are my Roman Empire. So yes… I was thriving. And the photos we got with them in the background? Literal farm-core perfection.

We wrapped up by checking in on the horses and then finishing back at the barn — golden light, sweet animals, soft family moments, and that warm farm feeling wrapping around everything.

This session felt like a true slice of their everyday life — simple, genuine, connected, and so full of heart. I’m endlessly grateful I got to step into their world for an afternoon.

If you’re dreaming about a cozy farm session, or wanting your photos to feel like your life and your story, I would LOVE to create something magical with you.
