Spread the love

Kristen and Jake gave me one of my very first chances to photograph a couple in Boulder, Colorado, and ohhhh my heart — I’m officially obsessed. Shooting at Chautauqua Park in the winter felt like stepping straight into a cinematic, snow-kissed dream, and now I can’t wait to be back here capturing more love stories.

We met at the base of the Flatirons where the cold air was sharp, the sky was moody, and the mountains were showing off in the most dramatic winter way. Even bundled up and braving the chill, Kristen and Jake brought so much warmth to the session — the kind of love that radiates, even when you can see your breath in the air.

This session was packed with all my favorite things. Soft winter light. Wind that made everything feel alive. Snow swirling around us like glitter. And two people who adore each other so deeply that every in-between moment felt like its own tiny love poem. The hand squeezes. The forehead kisses. The laughter that echoed through the trees. Pure magic.

Chautauqua Park is famous for a reason, but seeing it in winter for the first time — and seeing it through the lens of Kristen + Jake’s love — felt different. It felt intimate, cozy, and wildly romantic. And now I’m counting down the days until I get back to Boulder for more winter engagement sessions, more adventurous couples, and more evenings wrapped in that Colorado mountain glow.

I’m so in love with how their gallery turned out: cinematic, cozy, emotional, and so authentically them. Scroll to the end for their full gallery — you’re going to fall for it just as hard as I did.
