Some love stories just feel timeless — the kind that glow a little brighter, linger a little longer, and make you feel lucky to witness them. That’s exactly how it felt photographing Dayna and Tyrell’s engagement session in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. From the historic halls of Grant Hall Hotel to the sweeping paths of Crescent Park, their evening was pure magic.
We began inside the iconic Grant Hall Hotel, one of Moose Jaw’s most charming historic buildings. Its grand architecture, warm lighting, and vintage character created the perfect backdrop for some on-camera flash photography. Walking through the halls felt like stepping back in time — marble, arches, chandeliers, everything whispering old-world romance. And in the middle of it all? These two, laughing, teasing, and melting into each other in the sweetest, most effortless way.
After a quick outfit change, we headed to Crescent Park, where the light poured through the trees and the evening settled into that soft, cinematic glow I love so much. Dayna and Tyrell brought so much joy — from the playful champagne pop to the cozy little moments on the church steps. Every look they shared was so tender, so genuine, the kind of love you can feel without a single word being spoken.
Photographing these two was such an honour. Their connection is gentle and steady and sparkly all at once, and the way they look at each other… it’s the kind of sweetness that stays with you. I’m already counting down the days until I get to capture their wedding next fall — if their engagement session is any sign, it’s going to be breathtaking.
